Very beautiful mahogany pub clock with snek movement, also known as fusee. A snek is a conical body in which a spiral groove is carved out. In a clock with a built-in snek, as the days pass, the decreasing force of the spring will be compensated by the chain rolling up more and more. This keeps the driving force constant, independent of the relaxing spring. This results in a very accurately running clock.
