Antique mahogany campaign chest of drawers circa 1850

Very fine antique mahogany military campaign chest of drawers from circa 1850, made in the UK, specifically used by a senior official or officer of the British Empire. These pieces of furniture travelled along and were personal property. This chest of drawers comes from a family in Pembroke, South Wales. The chest still needs to be waxed but already has a fantastic patina. Most remarkable is that several coins are nailed to the back of the upper drawers. The owner explained at purchase that these represent the places where this chest and its owner spent extended periods. 100% original and never before on the market, you would be only the second owner after 160 years, unique. Dimensions 99 cm wide, 112 cm high and 47 cm deep.
