Antique mahogany bookcase, circa 1900

Magnificent library bookcase, very monumental bookcase with a magnificent appearance. This mahogany English bookcase is from approximately 1900 and is in very good condition. The maker is H. Mills, Shop Fitter, Shop Front Builder, Steam Works, 163-5 Old Street London. I believe this firm received a commission from a client to custom-make this bookcase. Because they made shop fronts of wood and glass, they naturally also had the expertise to make a bookcase.
