antique bronze temple gong

Very heavy antique temple gong from Tibet. The gong is two cm thick and has the shape of a chatra (umbrella model that expresses the symbol of religious Buddhism). The antique gong hangs in an oak wooden frame, most likely from India. Although the gong does not sound very loud, it has an incredibly long resonance that lasts for several minutes. Unfortunately, the history of this gong has been lost, but a similar example is recorded as having been collected by William Charles Hayman, a member of the famous British military invasion in 1903, led by Francis Younghusband.
